New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon and amongst the winners was freshman Alyssa Signor of St. Joseph's College (L.I.) who was named Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week.
Additionally, juniors Frank Basile (men's basketball) and Samantha Mullman (women's swimming) appeared on Weekly Honor Rolls.
Alyssa Signor (Fr.) – Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week
Signor led the Golden Eagles last week with 18.3 points- and 8.0 rebounds-per-game through three contests. In a 67-49 win at Sarah Lawrence on Nov. 27, the guard posted a game-best 21 points and followed up the performance with her first-career double-double (16 points, 11 rebunds) in a home win over Baruch on Nov. 29. The two-time Skyline Rookie of the Week capped the week with an 18-point outing in a loss at Old Westbury on Dec. 1.
Frank Basile (Jr.) – Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll
Basile led the Golden Eagles with 22.5 points- and 11.5 rebounds-per-game in a 0-2 week for the Golden Eagles. The guard scored game-high point totals of 18 and 27 in losses at Sarah Lawrence and Old Westbury, respectively. Basile also extended his double-double streak to four games and leads the conference in rebounds-per-game (10.8).
Samantha Mullman (Jr.) – Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll
Competing at the ECAC Winter Swimming Championships from Nov. 30 to December 2, Mullman swam on the 800-freestyle relay team that set a new program record with a time of 9:00.42. The junior also posted times of 26.74 in the 50-yard freestyle and 2:13.35 in the 200-yard freestyle.
