Kissimmee, FL| After dropping a 2-0 decision to Ramapo College, the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) softball team (2-6) edged Cornell College for a 1-0 victory at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, FL on Saturday afternoon.

Ramapo's Christina Brizek struck out seven batters and held SJC to only one hit in the contest, which came off the bat of sophomore Elizabeth Rohme in the top of the third.
Kristen Ruggiero's RBI single down the left field line in the bottom of the fourth saw Ramapo take the lead, and in the bottom of the sixth Kendra Decker singled to score Ally Spellman to double the Roadrunners' lead.
Sandra Foster started for the Golden Eagles on the mound and recorded two strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work.

Theresa Cardello earned her first win of the season, striking out one batter and allowing seven hits in a complete-game effort.
Madeline Sganga (2-3) was the only Golden Eagle to record multiple hits in the contest.
The Golden Eagles wrap up play at the Rebel Spring Games tomorrow, March 12, when they face St. Scholastica and Mount St. Joseph at 9:00 am and 11:15 am, respectively.
