New York, NY| Catcher Kristen Arbiter and pitcher Theresa Cardello of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) softball team both included in the Skyline All-Conference First-Team as announced by the conference on Tuesday evening.

An All-Conference selection for the first time, Arbiter led the Golden Eagles in RBI's (19), doubles (10) and home runs (2) this season. Additionally, she ranked second in total hits (38) and runs (23) and was third in batting average (.336).

At the conclusion of the conference playoffs, the Seaford, NY native was tied for first in the Skyline in fewest passed balls (1), second in runners caught stealing (8) and third in fielding percentage (.993).

Cardello, a Dowling transfer, enjoyed the 2017 season as SJC's ace and finished tied for third in the conference with 11 wins. The North Babylon, NY native's 1.94 ERA was good for fourth in the conference and her 64 strikeouts were sixth best. In a season that saw the junior pitch 11 complete games in 17 starts, Cardello recorded four shutouts and held opposing batters to a .236 batting average.

SJC (20-17) saw its 2017 season come to an end at the Skyline Conference Championship this past weekend after suffering losses to Mount Saint Mary College and The Sage Colleges in the double-elimination tournament. The Golden Eagles earned the second seed in the competition after posting a 14-4 conference mark.
