New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon and amongst the winners was freshman Alyssa Signor of St. Joseph's College (L.I.) who was named Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week.
Additionally, junior Samantha Mullman appeared on the Skyline Conference Women's Swimming Weekly Honor Roll.
Alyssa Signor (Fr.) – Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week
Signor led the Golden Eagles last week with 18.0 points-per-game on 13-for-22 shooting from the field. The Farmingville, NY native shot 7-for-15 for 20 points with five boards and six steals against Hunter on November 16. The following afternoon, Signor went for 16 points (6-for-7 FG) in a loss to Worcester St. University and, as of Monday afternoon, led the Golden Eagles in scoring (14.7 PPG) and assists-per-game (2.0).
Samantha Mullman (Jr.) - Women's Swimming Weekly Honor Roll
Mullman turned in a pair of first-place finishes in the 100-yard free (58.31) and the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:50.71) in a Skyline Conference double-duel on November 16. The junior also took second in the 200-yard free with a time of 2:10.28. SJC defeated both Sarah Lawrence (99-89) and SUNY Maritime (107-94).
